Traditional Roman shades have cords running down the back and a pull cord that lengthens as you raise them—a look that clutters the rear view and raises child-safety concerns. Vignette® Roman Shades reinvent that: all the operating mechanisms are internalized, so there are no exposed rear cords, which means a cleaner appearance from both inside and outside, plus enhanced child and pet safety. You still get the tailored fabric folds of a classic Roman, just with modern hardware doing the work out of sight.

On fold style, 4" full folds give soft, dimensional waves—the refined version of a classic hobbled Roman—while 6" flat folds sit as tailored, architectural bands for a more minimalist, low-profile look. On operation, the rolling style of Vignette® Roman Shades offers an unobstructed view when raised, while a stacking gathers neatly beneath a low-profile headrail like a traditional Roman. Do Vignette® Roman Shades offer room darkening and privacy at night?
Yes. Vignette® Roman Shades come in sheer, semi-opaque, light-filtering, and room-darkening fabrics, and the room-darkening options also help block heat gain on sunny Bay Area windows. For full light control and nighttime privacy in one shade, the Duolite® system pairs a light-filtering front with a room-darkening back panel on a single unit, so you can switch from soft daytime light to privacy after dark without a second treatment.
How do I clean and care for Vignette® Roman Shades?
Regular light dusting keeps them looking new in most homes. You can also blow dust off with compressed air or a hair dryer on the no-heat setting, and a handheld travel steamer with continuous steam can release wrinkles from some fabrics—skip heavy-duty steamers, which can damage the fabric. For spots, blot gently with a soft cloth and a cloth lightly dampened with water rather than rubbing. Questions? We handle service in-house as an authorized repair center.
